The Fierté Trust Parent Forum exists to strengthen, develop, and cement partnerships between our learners’ families and the Trust Board. A reciprocal pledge ‘inspiring all to excellence,’ permeates all decision making and the Trust Board acknowledges the prominence of parent voice in shaping and guiding practice.
Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Forum
- Providing a positive space to advise on wider parental views
- Identifying and promoting opportunities for parents to feedback
- Providing parents/carers an opportunity to influence and contribute to the Trust
- Increase opportunities for parental networking to further enhance learner’s education and experiences
The group is not a committee of the Fierté Trust and, as such, the Fierté Trust does not propose to delegate any of their powers to the Parent Forum. The group is a working group formed under 3.6.1 of the Scheme of Delegation and its role is to be a voice to inform the Trust Board and Local Governing Boards collectively of the parental viewpoint.
